Axion Racing was ranked by DARPA as 3rd of all teams (started 4th) at the 2005 NQE. Spirit started and finished ahead of Caltech, UCLA, Princeton, Cornell, Mitre, and Ford.

Race day, she autonomously drove 67 miles before mechanical failure earned a 7th place
