Spirit uses Bumblebee stereo vision cameras for obstacle detection.

Two mono lens combined for stereo vision provides a balance between 3D quality, processing speed, and image size. Camera range is 150 feet.

Tool finds edge of roads/paths, obstacles, and depression ahead of Spirit. Stereo cameras are hard to use under poor weather conditions.
