Battling highly funded college teams, Axion Racing's 35 member group was considered a favorite to win the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge. She was the 3rd place team at the start and finished 7th in the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge. Team has best Inertial Navigation System (drift %) of all vehicles entered into the 2007 Urban Challenge.
